My Neighborhood

Ridgecrest California. Small Town in the dessert of Southern California encircled by the Mountains adjacent to the Naval Air weapons station China lake. The neighborhood I grew up in was more middle class I was never rich nor was I poor. Ridgecrest was modernized town. I wasn’t surrounded by the urban area with the hence of it being "dangerous" It was more peaceful and really quite, but that’s just how the town is not much goes on. Kids in the area are usually always are occupied with the outdoors we were surrounded by dessert and mountains there were plenty of things to do.

I am who I am today because of the neighborhood I lived in. Even though Ridgecrest was a small town it was easier for kids to get hooked on things they shouldn’t such as drugs at a early age. I kept myself busy by staying interactive with sports and choosing the right crowd of friends. So I’m proud of where I’m from and how I grew up because I learned how to respect everyone and always remain positive no matter the outcome.
