So we finally completed our Non-Fiction book called
Freakonomics. My overview of this book was that this book was based off of many
statistics and brought forward facts that most people would not think of. With
these statics came different viewpoints and many backup points. I don’t believe
this author was trying to convey any message in the whole book but just to
bring supporting detail on facts people and readers don't have vision on. The
chapters that stood out to our group and that we had the most discussion was
mainly chapter 6. Chapter 6 discussed the name variation between your income
and color, that chapter really got my attention because I kind of found it
humors because the statistics were mainly true plus it had plenty of supporting
detail. Another chapter that really got my attention was chapter 4 and how
having abortions could slow crime rate down. I felt that there are many viewpoints
of this topic so it interested me. For me this book was pretty easy to read
just because every chapter brought up a new subject and something new to
critically think about. There were so many examples to reinforce the
supporting detail in this book, I found the book helpful because all the
information. This book, I would recommend to readers who have the time and
would like to read a book that has many topics. So all in all this book was an okay read
Hey Devon,
ReplyDeleteChapter 6 was a cool chapter. I agree with you on that. The different names were funny and stuff. Yeah, enjoy this comment. Later
