Work experince

So now that its module 3 here at Year Up, We are now working on creating our resume’s, I know exciting right? Well hopefully my resume turns out to be great!

Well anyways today I will be blogging about a recent job of mine, which was really a bad decision on applying. So in high school I was in search for a job and I finally landed one at Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). It wasn’t necessarily my worst job because I’ve never had another job that has been worse since, but this also wasn’t the best job for me to have.

So when I was hired I was labeled as a cook, my primary responsibility were to cook the chicken, Fried or grilled, Prepare all the side dishes like Macaroni and cheese, Coleslaw, Baked Beans, Mash potatoes, gravy, and green beans. My other task were to clean each fryer I used, and that was honestly a difficult task, especially dealing with all that hot oil! I also had to maintain a sanitized  environment in which I worked, so I had to wash dishes, wipe down and sanitize all tables, sweep and mop the floors, clean the windows, and take out the trash. so my job description was very robust and somewhat lucid.

Really what made my job enjoyable was the free food I was given, and the paycheck after all my hard work and altruism. Some skills I developed at KFC that would serve at my future internship is the ability to work in a team at highly fast pace and complete task at the time asked. So with that experience I was able to  learn how to work in a team other than sports and actually meet deadlines. What I have learned about myself was that fast food is not for me, and it was not a place I want to be working for the rest of my life so I better get up and get a college degree and gain a career!
